I started learning Polish a little under two years ago. I fell in love with this city over the course of several visits last year. I finally managed to pick up my entire life and move it over here. No, it wasn't even on account of some girl, although there will doubtless be one in my future. Now I can't imagine ever living anywhere but here.

I still own the apartment (I'm renting it out for a profit), but I sold all of the unnecessary "stuff" so it wasn't so hard. And my true friends will always eagerly come visit me! I didn't have a girlfriend, and the prospect of trying to meet someone in SF whom I would have wanted to marry was looking increasingly ridiculous. I'm not going to have much time here to keep up with tribe, there's way too much LIFE to live here! -

Fri, July 6, 2007 - 12:56 PMsopot my mom sais is expensive...try bed and breakfast in sopot, gdansk, basically look around for b&b there. there is a fast train btw those cities she sais, and transportation is easy from place to place.
also she suggests the university in gdansk campus which is in high demand in the summer.
